Department of Contemporary Art Tampa, FL is the living room of art and culture in Tampa Bay. A multidisciplinary exhibition, critique, performance, and discussion space, DoCA Tampa, FL is a resource for artists across media, an incubator of new ideas, and a nexus of Tampa's cultural avant-garde.
Emiliano Settecasi
Founder, Director, Curator, Preparator, Art Handler
Emiliano Settecasi is a Tampa-based artist and designer who has studied at both the Pratt Institute and the University of South Florida and earned his BFA from the latter in 2016. Since 2015, Settecasi has been a fixture in the Tampa arts community, serving as an intern at the USF Contemporary Art Museum, a volunteer at Tempus Projects, a Gallery Assistant at the Hillsborough Community College Art Galleries, and a member of the artist collective QUAID. As a curator, he is motivated by his desire to showcase the strength and diversity of artists in the region, to foster unity and solidarity among artists of all disciplines, and to harness their creative potential to establish Tampa Bay as a driver of international cultural discourse.
